Complete your apprenticeship with NICS Queensland and become a qualified wall and floor tiler.

According to the Australian Government's Job Outlook service, wall and floor tilers are in high demand, with employers struggling to fill vacancies. It’s expected that around 9,000 job openings will arise in this field over the next five years, with employers seeking reliable, hardworking individuals who work well in a team.

In this course, you’ll learn how to lay ceramic, clay, slate, marble, glass, and other types of tiles on both internal and external walls and floors. You’ll gain skills in using tiles to create both protective and decorative finishes, and learn how to use tile-cutting tools to shape tiles for edges, corners, and around obstacles like fittings and pipes. You may work on new installations or renovations in homes, shops, offices, factories, as well as on structures like swimming pools and spas. Our industry-experienced instructors will ensure you develop the skills to complete tiling tasks safely and efficiently.
