DURATION

  • 36 months
  • Training – combination of face to face and online and on the job training under the direction of a workplace supervisor

  • Eligible students funded under the CSQ Skills & Gap Training Courses Program must have all assessment completed and submitted by the 15th of September 2022

Advance your career in the construction industry with this apprenticeship qualification. This course will qualify you as a fibrous plasterer and help you establish yourself as a skilled tradesperson.

According to the Australian Government's Job Outlook service, the demand for plasterers is growing strongly. This large occupation is expected to create around 19,000 new jobs over the next five years, with employers seeking reliable, hardworking individuals who work well in a team.

This course provides the opportunity to apply and develop your plastering skills alongside your on-the-job training. You’ll learn how to install and finish plasterboard and fibre cement sheeting to line walls and ceilings, construct bulkheads, assemble partitions, and install cornices. Our experienced, trade-qualified instructors will teach you how to work safely and efficiently, and guide you in planning and inspecting your work to ensure it meets the highest standards.

Upon successful completion of this qualification through an apprenticeship, you’ll be eligible to become a qualified fibrous plasterer, ready to work in both commercial and domestic settings.
