expected to create around 19,000 new jobs over the next five years, with employers seeking reliable, hardworking individuals who excel in
teamwork.
This course covers essential skills applicable across the construction industry, as well as specialised units in solid plastering. You'll
learn how to apply plain, decorative, and protective plaster or cement coatings to both the interior and exterior of buildings. Experienced
professionals will guide you in using solid plastering tools and equipment, installing cast plaster and paper-faced cornices, applying
trowelled texture coat finishes, and working with float and render techniques on both straight and curved surfaces.
Upon successful completion, you'll have the practical skills needed to pursue a career as a solid plasterer or renderer. If undertaken as
part of an apprenticeship, you’ll be qualified to apply for a trade certification in solid plastering for both residential and commercial
construction projects.
