Kickstart your construction career with this entry-level course designed to give you the foundation skills and knowledge needed to secure an apprenticeship in any construction trade. This qualification will demonstrate to employers that you’re ready to take the next step in your career.

With a current shortage of skilled workers across multiple construction occupations, as reported by the Australian Government's MySkills service, you'll graduate with in-demand skills, positioning you as a highly sought-after candidate in the job market.

This course covers vital work health and safety practices and equips you with essential skills in using construction tools and materials, interpreting plans, making measurements and calculations, and effective communication in the workplace. The program is centered around a hands-on construction project that mirrors real-world industry scenarios, giving you practical experience. You'll be taught by trade-qualified instructors who are industry professionals, guiding you through the skills you’ll need to succeed in the field.

Upon completion of the course, you'll be ready to confidently pursue an apprenticeship in a variety of construction trades, such as bricklaying, carpentry, painting and decorating, or wall and floor tiling. You could also explore opportunities as a trades assistant.
